  1. unrelated to the actual software - but I am curious as to what theme you use. It looks good.

  2. I really like this tool!

Have you talked to the various pdf-viewer developers (evince etc.)?

An «edit» button in the pdf-viewer(s) for editing the current pdf in "PDF Mod" would be nice! :)

  4. Ok!

An edit button in evince would still keep the applications separate, though, and provide easy access to editing in an external app (pdf mod).

    Anyway, I'll stop nudging.. :)

  5. Did you modify the default Shiki? My Shiki uses the application's icon in the top left corner instead of the circle. I kind of like the circle.

I'm glad PDF Mod will stay a separate project. I think that right clicking on something in Gnome shouldn't give silly options like "Open with *some application*". Instead, every document would give the option to "View", "Edit", or, if applicable, "Run". Evince does a pretty good job of the "View" function, but we need more lightweight applications to fill the "Edit" role. PDF Mod is already starting to do a great job filling this niche for PDF files. Thanks for your work.

  7. To chime in on the editor/viewer issue...

Picasa3 allows for seamless switching between library/display mode and edit mode.

Perhaps with some hints from Picasa3, the view/edit paradigms could remain separate but seamlessly accessible within the one PDF app.

IMHO it would be a desirable direction to take. Evince is already very nice. Perhaps nicer than Adobe's free viewer. Limited editing abilities would make it even nicer and probably cover the extent of most users requirements in a highly discoverable way.

  9. Have you considered adding PDF encryption exploit?

The source was released at Slashdot a few months ago.

I think it was an exploit and brute force in a few hours.

Would be so great to have!

  10. I don't have a need for anything like this, but this looks really cool and its development seems to be very quick. I'm sure that this will help many people. Keep up the great work!
